❄️ Slippery Surfaces Arrive!

Her's a pretty fun update today — I've added proper ice mechanics to the game!

🧊 Ice Physics

  • The player now slides on ice with reduced friction.

  • It takes longer to speed up, slow down, and especially turn around.

  • Momentum even carries through jumps if you leap off an icy surface — but landing on normal ground instantly cancels the skid so you don’t slide where you shouldn’t.

🧩 Test Room Update

  • Added a patch of ice tiles in the test room so you can try the mechanic right away.

  • Perfect for practicing precision movement (or chaotic skidding 😅).

🎨 Under the Hood

  • Expanded the game’s tilesets with new snowy variants.

  • This opens the door for future ice caves, snowy peaks, and winter-themed stages — not just the slippery ice, but also snowy floors and decor.

In the future, I’m planning to introduce other special floor types too — like muddy ground that slows your movement and restricts jumping, and even a super bouncy floor for chaotic spring-like jumps.
