Ouch! Stability Update (Build 0.6.3)
This update focuses on fixing critical HTML5 runtime errors that appeared in build 0.6.2.
If you tried loading the previous build and saw a blank screen or crash — this release resolves that issue completely.
🔧 What Happened
In build 0.6.2, some of the game’s save/load and water rendering systems were rewritten for better structure and performance.
Unfortunately, a few of those changes caused fatal errors in HTML5 builds — specifically with how the new GameMaker runtime handled global variables, data storage, and surface creation. The game itself still worked fine in the editor, but the exported HTML5 version would instantly fail to load.
🧠 Developer Notes
This update doesn’t add new gameplay features — it’s purely a stability and compatibility patch.
Now that BitJump runs smoothly again on the latest runtime, the next milestone (Build 0.6.4) will return to adding new content and polish.
