Overall Adjustments and a New Enemy
A lot of polish and new content went into this build — here’s what’s new:
- Player Movement Upgrade
The player now moves with damping/velocity-based motion, making movement smoother and more natural. This also opens the door for terrain effects, like slippery ice where it’s harder to stop, or mud that slows the player down.
- Enemy Adjustments
All enemies now have built-in slowdown, so they no longer dart around at full speed. This makes encounters feel more controlled and fair.
- Segmented Snake Enemy
Big progress here! Each segment can now be individually destroyed. But if you manage to take out the head, the entire snake collapses and all segments die at once.
- New Enemy: The Block Chaser
At first it looks like just another block, but get too close and it springs to life, chasing the player. It can hop over small obstacles and move up and down slopes, though it’s a bit slow.
These additions can be previewed in the test room. New stages are coming soon!
